Woohooo, my turn to host this weeks challenge over at Stampotique and I have chosen a colour theme of Turquoise and Pink.
I love Pink, whether it's a bright fushcia pink or a
pretty rose pink - and teamed up with Turquoise well, they sure do make a bold
statement!! This colour combination creates a bright, cheerful and a beautiful
feminine palette that also reminds me of the 1980's and what a fab decade that
was for music!! So break out the pinks, turquoises and not forgetting a splash
of black and white and join in with this weeks challenge.
I have made a tag which was first sponged with Peacock Feathers, splashed with water and then used the same ink through a flower template. I then inked up some paper with Picked Raspberry, again splashed with water, stamped Carols Large Flower (9165) and Small Flower (9166) onto it and cut them all out. I hand drew the stems and leaves, added Abstract Foliage (3031) around the edge, added the sentiment A little garden... (9087) and here it is.
We are starting a new challenge month, so please make
sure you link up to the new link here. Please pop over to Stampotique and see what fantastic designs my Design Teamies have created - I hope they will inspire you to join in Polly
Hello, I'm Polly.
I love altered art, cardmaking, ATC's, in fact anything that needs gluing, stamping, inking or cutting is just my idea of heaven!!!!
I am pleased to say that my husband of 7 years is extremely tolerant of my crafts, especially as I tend to spread from one room to another, well aren't all we all a little messy when we're being creative!!
I like to incorporate all kinds of embellishments in my work especially lace, ribbon, butterflies, angels, hearts etc in fact anything pretty and girly. I soooo love pretty and quirky pieces of art. I was lucky enough to see Tim Holtz in the flesh recently - seeing him was just fantastic. It was only a one hour demonstration but its amazing how much inspiration you come away with.
I hope you enjoy my blog
