About time I made a 'normal' card for a change and a cake was just what was needed. A lovely lady called Sarah works in the site restaurant and asked me to make her a wedding card - so.....I asked her to make me a cake!!! (she's well renowned for lovely cakes). She got the card which she loved and I got TWO cakes and they were absolutely yummy - gingercake and plumcake MMmmmmm - I have such a sweet tooth its unbelievable. Just wanted to say thank you to her so I thought I'd make her a card.
It came together quite easily - think it was the verse that helped. The verse was stamped onto a inked background, a scroll stamp was used on K&Co paper, used a border punch and added a few flowers and a piece of ribbon. I shall give it to her tomorrow - just hope she wants some more cards in the future as I definitely would like MORE cake!!! Bye for now x

ReplyDeleteLove it too. The thing I love about the card is it's so different from the boring norm of a wedding card, that's the beauty of card making. I'm sure it will be treasured.

Lovely card Polly but I sure do like the sound of the ginger cake!!!! If I come round for jewellery making lessons will I get a slice of cake too????? xxxx
