A Tilda card for 2 challenges

Over at A Spoonful of Sugar the theme is Thank you and at Magnolia Stamp Lovers the theme is Blue. So for once - a card that fits 2 challenges.  :O)

I have used papers from Jack & Jill by Prima and added some lovely matching Prima flowers as well.  Tilda was coloured in with distress ink refillers on watercolour paper and slightly edged with Vintage Photo and mounted onto a shimmery blue cardstock shaped from a scalloped nestabilitie. I have added some little butterflies using a Martha Stewart punch, the pearls were originally white but I coloured them in with a blue copic pen!!!  The letters are tiny tiny little Scrabble stamps that I bought a few years ago from PaperParadise - found them in a little hexagonal box on the SALE table and bought them :O) - the perfect size for this card.  Added a bit of lace and here it is...

Simon Says Stamp Challenge - New Beginnings

What better way to start the New Year off then with the lovely theme of 'New Beginnings' - the challenge over at Simon Stays Stamp.

I have used some lovely pink patterned papers from the Kitchengarden paper pad from Panduro which my lovely daughter got me from Grimsby Crafts.  I have distressed all the edges with a pair of scissors and inked with Vintage Photo.  The flowers are made up with the Retro Flower punches and little pearls added to the centres.  New Baby was printed on the heart shaped scalloped punch, and Tilda Baby was coloured in with Distress Ink refillers.  And here it is...

Truly Scrumptious - Frame It!

2nd post of today so doing quite well.  Hubby now has a hot drink to help him wake up so quickly blogging the cards I made last night for the challenges I liked.

This card is for Truly Scrumptious - a very nice challenge site.  Again I have used papers by Prima Jack & Jill and I have distressed the edges with a pair of scissors - decided not to edge them with Vintage Photo this time.  Tilda has been coloured in with Distress Ink Refillers - coloured her up last night at about 11 o'clock  under a daylight lamp lol.  I have used a Marianne die cut ornate round and a scalloped nestabilitie to make up the frame and added some little diamantes to it.  The ribbon was wrapped around my pj's that I got for Christmas and the colour was perfect.  Added a pc generated sentiment and here it is.

Sugar Bowl challenge - Embossing

Hubby is still asleep on the sofa still not very well so using my time wisely ;o) and spending a quick hour up here in my craft room.  This card I've made for the Sugar Bowl challenge - embossing.  Must admit to not using any of my cuttlebog embossing folders for absolute ages so a good challenge!!!   All the papers are by Prima Jack & Jill, and I have distressed the edges with a pair of scissors and inked them with Vintage Photo.  The light green paper has been embossed with a cuttlebug folder Diamonds and lightly inked with Vintage Photo.  My Sugar Nellie stamp Demure has been coloured in with Distress Ink Re-inkers- thought I would give them a try and I must admit I like them better than the distress pads - the colours are much more intense.  I have used my Marianne diecuts for the flourish, added some diamantes, a little bit of ribbon (distressed with Walnut Stain as it was too red) and here it is.

Well, hopefully I can get my next card blogged before the patient wakes up!

Just in time again to enter this weeks Friday Sketch challenge - a lovely sketch by Claudia

The design papers are by Basic Grey from Grimsby Crafts - vocab, lexicon and census - allhave been distressed at the edges with a pair of scissors and inked with Vintage Photo. Tilda has been coloured in with Distress Inkpads.  The flourishes and flowers are Marianne diecuts, the lovely lace was from Grimsby Crafts (all bought for me by my lovely daughter as a Christmas gift).

Think I may be able to enter a few more challenges over the next couple of days due to my hubby having that nasty flu virus - he's laid out on the sofa like they dying swan!!   It is quite a nasty virus to be honest - I know as I gave him it ;O)

Well thanks for looking

Let's get Shabby Challenge 18 - your favourite christmas carol

It's been such a long time since I joined in over at the Lets Get Shabby challenge site but this months challenge of incorporating your favourite christmas carol into your creation was just too good to miss.  So..... it was off to the local Spar shop for 24 matchboxes!!!  An handmade advent calendar was about to be created.

After stacking and sticking the matchboxes into groups of 3 I covered the top and bottom with Basic Grey Basic Whites patterned paper which I bought at Grimsby Crafts.  I added some corner flourishes by using Marianne die cuts (again bought from Grimsby Crafts) to the top of the calendar and added some white flowers.  Gold Swarvoski pearls were used to create drawer handles and the vintage angel images are available from Marie Freebies.  I used my late moms favourite carol as my inspiration for my calendar - Hark! The herald angels sing - the songsheet printed onto white cardstock and the Magnolia tag die used.  And here it is......
