Prima BAP

I have reluctantly emailed off the layout below to Prima BAP - in fact I have left it to the very last day to join in -  the layouts that the Prima design team create each month are out of this world!!! and so inspiring - but I loved the sketch so thought it may get a little mention.  If not I love it anyway.

The photos are of course of my lovely daughter Viki - all the design papers are by Prima from the Watercolour Rainbow collection bought recently from a craft shop in Horncastle. I have edged punched a piece of light green cardstock, cut down a piece of design paper to fit inside, added some fussy cutting, flowers and some ribbon and here is is..........

I am also entering my layout in the first ever challenge over at The Happy Scrappers - a new challenge site here in the UK :O)

Bookmark

Krista Smith draws the most amazing beautiful girl images and I'm not even going to count how many I have stashed on my computer!!  And..... I added 2 more Friday afternoon, Rapunzel and Butterflies :O).  So had a little practise session Friday afternoon whilst sat in the conservatory keeping a very watchful eye on the chickens - newly turfed lawn and chickens dont go well together.

The challenge over at Saturated Canary is Bookmarks, so after colouring up my image Butterflies, I cut a 5" envelope diagonally (making a 4.5" triangle which would then slot over a corner of a page) , added a piece of Webster DP, diecut a scalloped circle, some ribbon and 3 pearls and here it is....  a very simple bookmark.

Flowery Tag

Got a couple of small ;o) deliveries in the post just recently including the new Distress Inks and I just lurve Squeezed Lemonade - beautiful vibrant yellow - fabulous!!  So as usual had to have a play IMMEDIATELY lol.

I cut a tag from TH Tag die and inked it up with Squeezed Lemonade and Dusty Concorde.  I then stamped the large script stamp from Tim Holtz Papillion stamp set over it.  I made a large and small flower using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die and popped a button in the middle of the smaller one.  Added some leaves and butterflies, a Tim Holtz tickets and here it is....

Ten Second Studio

Hubby bought me quite a few Ten Second Studio tools quite a few years back and although I've dabbled every now and again,  I've never actually made anything.... til now!!!

The challenge over at Simon Says Stamp & Show is...  Anything Goes - perfect for a metal play :O)

So armed with a piece of A3 hardboard (just love this stuff) , I cut this down to a rectangle measuring 11 x 8.5", diecut 2 Sizzix wings (fave die at the mo), some hardboard alphabets and stuck these down onto it.  The metal tape was cut into varying sizes and stuck randomly all over the letters, wings and background making sure they overlapped each other. Then I added some thin strips of copper tape.  I used some TSS tools to engrave into the lettering and to define the shapes.  I then brushed black acrylic paint all over, let it dry and then wiped the majority of it off with a baby wipe leaving behind black paint in all the grooves and little crevices.  I then added some alcohol inked metal butterflies, alpha lettering covered in Glossy Accents and here it is.... ARTFUL wings - my blog name :O)

Think I will hang this on my craft room door :O)

Little Wall Plaque

Gosh - Can't believe its nearly a whole month since I blogged!!  So to get back into the swing of things I am joining in with the challenge over at Simon Says Stamp and Show - use your favourite stamp.  Well that is so easy - I just love the first stamp I ever bought from Sue at Paper Paradise -
To hear the angels whisper you must listen with your heart.   It was the first stamp I used on my blog too!!!

My idea was to make a little wall plaque so I used my favourite stamp and my favourite diecut - Angel Wings.  I used Kraft paper for the wings which I embossed through the Big Shot and inked with Walnut Stain.  My new purchase from Grimsby Crafts - TH Ornamental die was used, inked with various distress inks and then stamped with TH Papillion script.  I then used the wings from the TH Heart die with Kraft paper, embossed and inked, added a TH charm on the smaller plaque and here it is....

I would also like to join in with the following challenges:
