Once upon a sketch - HOME

Yeayyyy - on holiday this week so had time for some much needed scrapbooking with Once Upon A Sketch - so love their fab sketches that they keep coming up with.  Their theme this month is HOME and what it means to you - the photo of my GDs was taken in their garden - they live in the grounds of Hubbards Hills where reindeers roam around all year round and this was a day when we were out looking for them.  They wanted to show us the little ones that didnt have big antlers!!!!!!

I know I have scrapped this photo of the GD's sooooo many times but I love this one of all 3 of them - very rare you can catch them all together now to be honest.

I started off by using a round-the-edge punch on white cardstock.  I gutted the white cardstock so I could use it to frame the photo and also use as edging on some of the papers.  All papers used are from the Chanteuse collection by Kaisercraft and .  All edeges were inked with Ranger Vintage Photo.  I added a die cut Doily diecut which was a bit fiddly but worth it in the end, made a large flower using the Tim Holtz Tattered Floral die which once made up was sprinkled with Fairy Dust, added a couple of rhinestone flourishes, precut butterflies and here it is....

WOYWW - 149

This is something that I've been meaning to join in for quite some time now and today is the day to show off what I have on my workdesk  for WOYWW- I've cheated a litte - I've actually just wiped off the black ink off the desk :o).  Working on a few tags and canvases with Dylusions stamps and inks and really loving it.

Well off to sunny Scarborough now for some camera practice

Playing around with Inks

Been a funny old week - even though we are on a weeks break its been a little manic and all our well-laid plans have gone out the window due to me and my new 2 week old FIAT 500 just not getting on (fraid me and twin air engines just dont get on well at all).

Armed with a old pizza box I set to work using all different colours of inks, dylusions stamps and then the best bit, colouring and making them all up to look nice.  And this is what I came up with...

It needs some ribbon or wire so it hangs but I pretty much love it - even at its ugly stage I still liked it but then that was probably down to knowing exactly what I wanted to do with it and how I wanted it to look.

It even meets the following challenges

Make it Monday - Anything Goes
Creative Monday - Anything Goes
Crafting when we can - Things with wings

I have a few more tags to show you but they can wait til tomorrow :O)
