New stamp from Prima Julie Nutting

The new Prima Julie Nutting stamps are out so just had to buy all some of them :O).  This is the largest of them all - just love the elegance of this one.

The background paper has been stencilled with distress inks then stamped with various quote stamps.  All the edges have been distress with a scissor blade and inked with Vintage Photo.  The chandelier stamps have been in my stash for at least a couple of years and have never been used!!! and these were stamped, sprinkled with gold embossing powder and zapped with the heat gun. The image has been coloured in with Copics, the flower is made with a spellbinders die and all pearl embellishments, buttons and white daisy lace are from The Hobby House.

I am entering this into the following challenges

Daring Cardmakers - Forgotten Treasure
Five Simple Things - Anything Goes
Its All About the Vintage - Distress and Tear
Sarah Hurley Challenge - All That Glitters is Gold   -    Edited: Made the top 3!!

Bestie Challenge - Pearls and Lace

Over at the Besties Challenge blog their theme this week is to use Pearls and Lace - yummy!!

I have coloured my digi image with copics, used papers from a paper pad which has been in my stash for yonks, the white edging was created by punching out 12 scalloped hearts and adding them around the designer paper.  I then added some pearls, lace, flowers and twine (all from The Hobby House) and here it is....

Stampotique - Anything but a card

Hmm not sure where the original post to this has gone!!  It published (or so I thought)!!

Over at Stampotique the challenge has been set by the ultra talented Nellie - Anything but a card'.  Here is what Nellie has to say about her theme......

When I participate in challenges, escpecially when I’m short of time, I tend to make cards. They are usually a quick and easy thing to make. So this week I challenge you (and myself) to make ANYTHING BUT A CARD for the Stampotique designer’s challenge. I made a double journalpage in my little artjournal. I’m very curious to see what you come up with!

With work being so busy at the moment I decided to make a quick notepad.  I first stamped Vintage Postcard (8115) onto a piece of smooth cardstock with Brown Memento ink.  Distressed the edges with Vintage Photo, stamped around the edge with Leaf (3024) in Green Memento Ink, added Medium Bee (3000) and here it is.....

Well we are halfway through  The Hobby House's   very first challenge of

Anything Goes

which means.... you still have time to join us :O)

And the winner will receive a £25 voucher (excluding P+P) from

The Hobby House

I decided to decorate one of the lovely MDF door hangers that The Hobby House sell.  The background is Prima paper and I have added a fence diecut to it.  Then I snipped away some very thin triangles on 2 pieces of green cardstock to create grass adhering one to the base.  I cut out one of the lovely Mo Manning toppers Strawberry Wishes adhered her to the hanger with 3d pads and then added the second piece of grass cardstock.  Added some little flowers and butterflies, created a little bunty and here it is....

I hope you will pop over to The Hobby House blog and see what my creative DT buddies have made and join in with us

Stampotique Challenge - Incorporating an Envelope

Its that time again for a new challenge over at Stampotique and this weeks theme of  'incorporating an envelope' has been set by the very talented Valerie - here is what Valerie has to say about her challenge.

I love the idea of using every day objects for art. I would like us to try creating an art project that incorporates an envelope - any shape or size, new or used. You can flip, fold, score, tear, ink, paint, stamp, doodle, embellish or keep it clean and simple - just have fun!

I decided to use an old A3 envelope that I found at work  - I made a tag and envelope which I inked up with Picked Raspberry and Cut grass then inked again through a flower stencil.  I stamped Abstract Foliage (3031) around all the edges, stamped Enjoy today (7319) on the tag and stamped Vintage Postcard (8114) on the envelope front.  Added a matching ribbon and here it is....
