Running Wild

I took some photos of the GD's at the beginning of the year when we were near Hubbards Hills, Louth.  The sun was out so I got all of them running around and racing each other whilst I snapped away :O).  You can just about make out little Heidi way back in the distance lol!!!)

When I saw this photo I just knew I wanted to create a window-style layout but life has just been a little busy lately and I have only just got round to starting on it yesterday.  I created the window frame out of white Linen card and built up the layers with 3d pads.  I then added some leaves (sizzix die) and placed them so that they looked like they were creeping in through the window. The background paper was distressed and inked with Vintage Photo and ramdomly stamped with a Crafty Individuals crackle stamp.  A few rosebuds, a bit of pink lace and here it is.....

Well thats it for now - I've finished off all my card commisions/wedding invites and can now have a little more 'me' crafting time.

Thanks for looking  Polly x

New challenge over at OVA - kitchen

Our new challenge over at Our Vintage Affair is all about the kitchen - create or alter something for the kitchen.  I struggled with this to be honest.... until I found these.... a plastic beaker and a lid I found on top of a shelf in Grimsby Crafts - I looked at Lynn and she said yes I could have it!!!

So I covered both the lid and beaker with gorgeous yummy paper from 3ndypapir, flipped the lid over and added a deep border from card Martha Stewart punch) , ribbon and roses, a string of little pearls and some scrummy sticky cakes and here it is.....  My own little cake stand!!!

All the DT have created fantastic shabby vintage kitchen items for you to drool over so please pop over and join in the challenge

Peek-a-boo!

Visiting the little gd's on Saturday meant lots of lovely new photos were taken which also means lots of layouts in progress!!!  This one is of Daisy peering through the little white picket fence which cordons off their play area.  I have used some christmas papers from My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition pack which have been distressed and inked with Vintage Photo.  Both pieces of lace came from Boyes, all the roses and rosebuds came from The Hobby House in Tetney, the leaves and butterflies were punched from diecuts which I bought from Grimsby Crafts and here it is....
