Final post of today - A scrapbooking page

Wow - 3 posts in one day!  This layout is using all my papers and embellishments from the limited edition kit I receive every month from My Creative Scrapbook.  Every kit I have received so far has been brilliant and well worth the money.

I have used a photo of my nana when she was 3 - she was born in 1916.  My dad has loads of family vintage photos that he is scanning for me so when I get them there will be lots of layouts created!!!  The patterned paper is by PinkPaisley, the flower/branch is by Prima (who else could make flowers as lovely as these) and here it is...

Playing with the Grand Calibre

Was playing with the Grand Calibre last night and I made a frame - it even stands up!!!  Currently making up another one to house a photo of little Eli so if anyone is interested in a little tutorial just let me know.

Tilda has been coloured in with Polychromos Pencils on Bristol Board, papers used on the frame are Basic Grey Cappella range, the large corner flourishes are from a Sissiz die, and the extra large Grand Calibre dies are from The Hobby House.

Basic Grey Challenge - Sketch by Heather

Blog-hopping last night when I found a lovely challenge site called Basic Grey - the only rules when joining in with the challenges is that you use at least 1 Basic Grey product.  That's an easy one as Grimsby Crafts stock the lovely Capella range :O).  So I followed the sketch for this weeks challenge.

I have used Basic Grey patterned papers from the Cappella range (very yummy papers), all inked around the edges with Vintage Photo.  I used my favourite Martha Stewart Doily punch and some lace that I got from Boyes.  My Sarah Kay image has been coloured in with Polychromos pencils on Bristol Board and the sentiment Best Friend is a stamp by Kaisercrafts.  Flowers have been in my stash for yonks and here it is.

The Shabby Tearoom - 'Sweet Hearts'

Over at The Shabby Tearoom the challenge is 'Sweet Hearts' and this yummy photo for inspiration...

So I made this....

The embossed green dots paper I have had in my stash for quite a while and I am so pleased that I have kept it til now as it is the perfect match.  The scalloped heart frames I punched out the heart dies by Nellies Choice which I got from The Hobby House, the digital sentiment is from Whimsy Stamps, the little roses from The Range and the lace is from Boyes (25p for about 3 metres).

My Creative Scrapbook Limited Edition Kit

Just a very quick post to show my first layout using the February Limted Edition kit from My Creative Scrapbook.  The kit is filled with yummy Graphic 45 paper from the Once Upon a Springtime collection and lots of Prima flowers, ribbons etc.  Find it very exciting when my parcel arrives - lots of ooohhhs and ahhhhh to be heard!!!

I've used a scanned copy of a very old photo - my great grandma as a baby.  Hubby did offer to clean up the photo but I like the antiqueness of it.

Vintage Calendar with new x-large Nestabilities

I received a lovely surprise in my craft room the other weekend - hubby had bought me a Grand Calibre from The Hobby House!  So just had to play with the new nestabilities that I got and somehow came up with this.

The paper and lovely vine ribbon is from my limited edition pack from My Creative Scrapbook.  The yummy lace is from Tillies in Immingham, the roses came from The Hobby House and the mini calendar from Boyes in Louth.    It was nice to play for a change 'just because I could'.
