Stampotique Challenge - Sketch

Well after all that - 41 mins late for the Kenny K's challenge :O( - Typical eh!!!

Ne'er mind here is my card for the Stampotique Designers Challenge which is to follow a sketch.

I really love these unusual stamps - I have 4 already which I guess says something!!

The paper is Melissa Frances which is just topped with a couple of cardstock borders punched with the Doily punch.  My images of Prom Queen, Moth Fab and Karin were stamped in Brown Memento and cut with nestabilities with the larger sizes cut in contrasting cardstock.  The rub-on quote ' FRIENDS ARE THE SUNSHINE OF LIFE' took as long to lay on the card as it did to make it!!!!!  Very much into quotes at the minute - whether its my age (just turned 47!!!) or whether its just that I am so contented with life :O)

Right that is definitely it for this evening - hubby has lit the Chimera, wine is flowing :O) which means that its time to sit out in the garden and discuss the finer points of our project that is currently on the go ;o).  It should all be ready by next weekend fingers crossed so will let you know then

Have a good weekend xx

Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge - Sketch

After a fantastic week in Robin Hoods Bay with Steve and our adorable nephew Josh I feel totally refreshed. You wouldn't believe the long walks we went on - in fact one walk nearly led to the assistance of Air Sea and Rescue!!!! Slight exaggeraton says Steve but the way my legs were feeling I wouldn't have minded the assistance!!

So scrap pages galore are on the go but as they take me quite some time to do I thought I would enter a couple of card challenges.

This card is for the Kenny K's Girlz challenge which was to follow a sketch. Just love these digital images.

The image has been coloured in with Prisma Pencils and Sansador. The main papers are from K&Co Madeline collection (my all time fave papers), the gingham paper is by My Minds Eye which has been stamped with a lovely vine stamp which I got from The Hobby House yonks ago. All papers have been inked with Vintage Photo. Added some flowers and a Martha Stewart punched border with some added diamantes and thats it really.

And now onto the next one xx

Scrapbook pages - Bubbles & Beach Comber

Meant to post these pages yesterday but after a great night out with fab friends, lots of Rose wine, egg throwing and reggaing to Bob Marley at 11pm on the lawn, I woke up with a thumping headache and feeling very VERY unwell.  Think the chicken in my salad was a bit dodgy - don't you agree Sue?!!!  :O))))

This page is of my hubby Steve scouring the rock pools for crabs at Robin Hoods Bay - hence the title Beach Comber.  Off back there again in a few weeks time - this time we have an apartment so we're looking forward to that.

This page is of my nanna when she was just in her teens modeling for I believe a chocolate box cover which was aptly called Bubbles (need to listen more to my dad when he recounts the good ole days).  Used my new Tim Holtz die cut Hanging Signs - quite like this one.

Well thats it for now - back to work tomorrow :O(

Tuesday Taggers - Wedding Day

After attending 2 beautiful weddings over the last 4 weeks how could I not enter the challenge over at Tuesday Taggers!!  The theme .... Wedding Day!  Just Perfect - I was inspired lol   :O)

I inked the tag with Vintage Photo and stamped around the edge with a large swirl stamp that I've had in my stash for yonks!  The beautiful image is one I bought from Lisas Altered Art, as are the butterfly wings which I printed on acetate and cut out.  I added a piece of ribbon to the lady image to look like she was carrying a banner and added scrabble pieces to it, some roses and leaves added to the top of the tag and here it is.

Well thats it for now - need to sort out my mistake with Our Vintage Affair!!  TTFN x
