Remember those door hangers Sue-Paperparadise bought from Sainsbury's for 99p and challenged Sam and I to alter it - well this is my effort!!! I covered the heart with a birdcage paper which I inked up with Antique Linen Distress ink, created a pocket to go across it, trimmed it with lace and ribbon, added some pearls and roses and then added some lovely vintage transfers around the edge. It was then completed with some 'REAL' freshwater pearls to make a loop and that's it!
By clicking on the links below you can see what Sam and Sue did with theirs. As you can see we are all certainly very different in styles!!! Whilst there, do take the time to check out their sites - both are very very creative and theres some great tutorials to follow.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge - Cupcake
I've spent ages on this little card - wanted to try something a little different (obviously keeping the PINK theme though!!) so I made a criss cross card for a change!! I bought a few new tools like the spellbinder flourish set and a lovely border punch which I used to decorate the criss cross part of the card (will my spending ever cease on this hobby of mine I wonder - NAH!!) coloured my lovely little Magnolia with my new Art-Kure pens, made an insert of Sugar and Spice and all things nice, thats what little cupcakes like you are made of. The cupcake was drawn freehand on card and run through the cuttlebug and some little pearls added to the middle of the flowers - that's it really. See you soon.

Lots to blog
Since I haven't blogged for nearly a week I'd thought I'd sit down at the pc and have a hearty blogging session!
Hubby's on the Wii playing Guitar Hero which believe me is very very!! painful on the ears. He thinks he has a voice of an angel (more like an Hells Angel to my ears but hey!! it keeps him occupied)!
This scrapbook page is for my vintage album - I drew the template freehand, added some lovely braid which I got from Running With Scissors, added a few 'saucy' vintage photos and here it is! I love it - so girly!!!
I spent this afternoon playing with some new pens that I got yesterday from Spire Crafts in Louth. They were on offer for £1.50 each and are called Art-Kure. They are brilliant - just a watercolour pen but with synthetic sable bristles just like a pen with a brush. I bought this lovely Sarah Kay stamp and gorgeous paper from Running With Scissors and came up with these 3 little numbers.
Last week at the Saturday Scrapbooking class we made these 2 pages - ideal layout and colour for the photies of hubby and a young eagle owl taken when we were in Wales a few years ago. This is the only time he has ever had a young bird on his arm (and the last)!!!!
Well thats all for now - its gone quiet downstairs so he's either finished with Guitar Hero or his voice has run out! Hopefully the latter! See you soon

Vintage album from TK Max - Bargain
Some people I know say they go into TK Max and never find anything. Me.....I never leave empty handed! ! So this time whilst on my hands and knees rummaging through the bottem shelf down the ornament aisle, I found a Papermania scrapbook album - "Nostalgia Warm" - this included the album, a 40 page paper pack, tags and alphabets and all for the price of £9.99. Well you can't let a bargain like that pass you by can you - so I didn't! !
This album is just going to be filled with lovely old fashioned images of romantic couples, victorian children, in fact anything...... vintage. And this is my first page.

Magnolia Down Under Challenge 6 - A Baby is Born
Didn't quite get the Magnolia challenge 5 - Easter completed on time, so this time I made sure I didn't get side tracked and stayed FOCUSED ! !
This card was made using the Cuttlebug Oliva alphabet and scalloped squares and Magnolia was watercoloured with distress inks. Quite a simple card really - no lace, no ribbon, no buttons tut! ! Good thing my next scrapbooking project has all of them! !

A rejuvanated tatty old mirror!
Found 3 of these mirrors in the loft (obviously prepped in the past for a project that never happened - in fact vaguely remember buying them from IKEA about 7 years ago). So after browsing Stampers they had decorated a frame very similar to this one and it looked really nice so I set to and came up with ..........
......THIS!!!
I've used K&Co paper, Tim Holtz (but of course!!!) grungeboard flourishes from the Elements range, Ranger inks and a stamp of 4 vintage style ladies. I used some cream card and blended some distress inks on it, stamped the ladies image onto the card with black Versafine, cut them up and then sanded the edges and inked again for a slight distressed look. I love it but then I love vintage! I'm sure the other 2 will be going the same way! !

A couple of vintage cards
A friend of mine asked me to make a couple of Anniversary cards (style was up to me),so I set to and came up with these vintage style ones. I know they're not everyones up of tea but thankfully she loved them ! ! Now I can get back to working on the photo frame that I bought as a bargain a couple of weeks ago. The frame is finished but now working on the pictures to go inside and guess what.......Its vintage and its pink ! !
