Besties of Oz Challenge

Over at the Besties Challenge blog there month long challenge is all about the Wizard of Oz.  Just had to join in with this gorgeous Scarecrow image that was purchased with a Besties voucher that I was given as a birthday treat by my lurvely crafty buddies - thank you so much they are all so yummy.

I decided to make a little wall hanging using Scarecrow.  I have coloured Scarecrow in with Copic pens, the background is Ranger Distress Inks.  The grass diecut and wheat diecut is by Joy available from The Hobby House.  The plant pot is a template readily available on the internet and the quote is by Tim Holtz.  The shabby hanger is by Melissa Frances from My Crafty Heart - very shabby chic... and here it is......

The Hobby House Inspirational piece

Its my turn to showcase an inspirational piece for the Vintage challenge over at The Hobby House.

I decided to create a little envelope from a scrapbook paper 12" x 12".  I have used a flourish diecut for the leaf flourish and a small Spellbinders oval frame.  The lovely embellishments used are all available from The Hobby House - the pearl flourishes I have used have been cut in half .

Sherri Baldy image and Frantage overkill

Had a little time yesterday to play so out came the Frantage!  Been after this stuff for ages and now that The Hobby House are selling the range just had to invest in a couple of colours and wow!! Fabulous!!!

I decided to make a card using a Sherri Baldy digital image that I bought a couple of weeks ago - stunning images, very pretty and so many to choose from that I may have bought more then one ;o)  The image was coloured in with Copics.  Everything else on the card was given the Frantage treatment in Shabby Pink so think I may have overdone it a little but hey ho!!!  And here it is.......

Midway Reminder - The Hobby House Challenge of Vintage

Good morning everyone - just a little reminder that The Hobby House challenge of Vintage is at the halfway stage so still plenty of time to join in.

I created a little wall plaque using a vintage image that I found on Google.   The main background is DP from a paper pad and edged with cream cardstock using a Martha Stewart punch. I also used diecuts for the heart, flowers, butterflies and flourishes. The flowers, cameo and those beautiful pearl corner flourishes are all available from The Hobby House.

Julie Nutting time

Had a lovely week off - weather has been fantastic so not an awful lot of crafting was done.  However I was able to have a little time playing with the Julie Nutting stamps.  Andrew my work colleague tends to save me all sorts of plastic, bags and packaging from the I.T equipment we get in the office and this time he handed me some scraps of MDF - yeayyyy just perfect!!  So I set to!.  This Julie Nutting stamp has been coloured in with Copic pens and the paper piecing has had a little shading added.  The background paper has been stencilled over distress inks over the flower stencil by Creative Crafters.  The designer paper, doily and flowers are all from The Hobby House.
