Time for another weekly challenge over at Stampotique and this weeks theme of Triangles has been chosen by the very talented Nellie.  Here is what Nellie has to say about her challenge:

I  often like to incorporate geometric shapes in my cards, be it squares, circles, rectangles etc. So this week I challenge you to use such geometric shape  in your card or project. But not just  any shape you like. It has to be a TRIANGLE. Use just one or as many as you like.  Can’t wait to see what you come up with… So have fun stamping!

I decided to use alcohol inks this week and around the edge of the alcohol inked background I stamped Abstract Foliage (3031) around the edge. Smushallaum (6122) was stamped up with Memento and coloured in with Polychromos pencils.  What? Never seen a diva before? (8974) was stamped on plain card, cut and edged with black chalk.  Bit of wiggly wire and here it is...

I hope you will pop over to Stampotique and see what all my other extremely talented DT ladies have created and maybe join in with us ;O)

Thanks for looking

Prima Julie Nutting Stamps

FINALLY.......  I have those long awaited Prima Julie Nutting Stamps and I have to say - love them!!!

So last night saw me in my craft room playing!!!  I cut out a large tag and inked the background with my fave distress inks Picked Raspberry and Spiced Marmalade, inked stencils and stamps, then fussy cut out some flowers from a sheet of K&Co paper from the Sweet Nectar range.  I stamped the girl stamp on some text paper and again used K&Co paper, added some lace, ribbon and a Tim Holtz sentiment and here it is....

Stampotique - Wintry Whites

Apologies for being late with this challenge - I seem to be experiencing no end of problems this week with uploading to blogs, commenting and just connecting to the outside world - aarggggh!!!!  Anyway.....

This weeks theme over at Stampotique has been chosen by the very talented Valerie who has challenged us to use various shades of winter whites in our projects - white, shimmer white, off-white, ecru, eggshell, etc. Here's what Valerie has to say about her color choice,

"Well, it wasn't planned, but this theme has a striking significance for those of us here on the East Coast who have just endured a big winter snow storm! All of nature is drooping under the weight of a heavy white winter blanket! Mother Nature really does provide the most beautiful inspiration!"

I decided to make a bookmark using Karin which has been coloured in with Polychromos Pencils.  A length of ecru velvet ribbon, some metal embelishments and here it is.....

Do pop over and see what my other very talented DT members have created for this lovely challenge and hope you will join in with us.  Thank you for looking

Berrylicious

Over at Once Upon A Sketch they have a fabulous sketch and Love theme currently running and after a rather large spending spree over at The Hobby House  yesterday with the aid of Kate of course :O) (hubby may well be living on beans and lentils for a week!!!)  I found some fantastic papers that were just perfect!!!

The layout is of my little grandaughter Daisy who is an absolute delight.  She is just so adorable you just want to eat her!!!  The papers are from a scrapbook paper pack by K & Company called Sweet Nectar - lots of beautiful bright papers perfect for scrapping beautiful little girls.  I only used 2 papers, a lot of fussy cutting of the strawberries and leaf paper and a piece of the gingham which when cut to 9" x 12" was inserted in between the cuts.  A circle was  punched around the edge with a Martha Stewart Loopy punch, a pearl flourish and quote was added and here it is...
